Fashion crime spectacle reminds White trash to hate Arabs
(monkeysmashesheaven.wordpress.com)
Reacting to a White trash frenzy on the blogosphere, Dunkin’ Donuts, a reactionary corporate purveyor of greasy junk food, has pulled an ad featuring Rachael Ray wearing a faux Kaffiyeh.
Not long ago, their donuts were the favorite of White fascists. Dunkin’ Donuts was the place where White trash could buy disgusting, greasy junk food safe from Mexicans and Terrorists. In 2006, Dunkin’ Donuts required all its franchises to ”participate in the Basic Pilot Program, which allows employers to verify a worker status using an online database from the Social Security Administration and Department of Homeland security.” (1)
“We follow the law! This company hires lawful workers only,” states a sign at Dunkin’ Donuts. Dunkin’ Donuts chose to participate in the program because of the growing fascist sentiment within the White nation. Stephen Horn, chief legal officer for Dunkin’ Brands Inc. explains, “the growing awareness of the hiring and employment of undocumented workers and the difficulty faced by employers for screening new hires within the confines of the law.” (2)
So, it was a shock to Amerikkka when the off-White, celebrity chef, spokesperson Rachael Ray wore a faux Kaffiyeh in a Dunkin’ Donuts ad. Queen of the White trash yappers, Michelle Malkin is leading the charge in this front of the culture war. Malkin yaps:
So it was with some dismay that I learned last week that Dunkin’ Donuts spokeswoman Rachael Ray, the ubiquitous TV hostess, posed for one of the company’s ads in what appeared to be a black-and-white keffiyeh. (3)
Malkin continues yapping:
The keffiyeh, for the clueless, is the traditional scarf of Arab men that has come to symbolize murderous Palestinian jihad. Popularized by Yasser Arafat and a regular adornment of Muslim terrorists appearing in beheading and hostage-taking videos, the apparel has been mainstreamed by both ignorant (and not so ignorant) fashion designers, celebrities and left-wing icons.
Three years ago, pop singer Ricky Martin donned a traditional red-checked keffiyeh with the phrase “Jerusalem is ours” inscribed in Arabic. Apologizing for his obliviousness, Martin said: “I had no idea that the keffiyeh scarf presented to me contained language referring to Jerusalem, and I apologize to anyone who might think I was endorsing its message.” (4)
Rachael Ray may even surpass Cameron Diaz as fashion public enemy number one. The last time there was this much yapping about fashion terrorism was when Diaz, trekking through Machu Picchu, wore a reproduction of a Mao-era bag with “Serve the People” emblazoned on it in red. Diaz or Senderistdiaz? (5)
Was it an innocent mistake or terrorist plot? Malkin suspects there is more to this than meets the eye going on:
Ray hawked Urban Outfitters scarves on her website before appearing in the Dunkin’ Donuts ad. If she (or whichever stylist is dressing her) wasn’t aware of the jihad scarf controversy before she posed for the Dunkin’ campaign, she should have been. Urban Outfitters initially pulled the keffiyeh merchandise and apologized when Jewish customers protested, but reintroduced them with different names and colors in several global markets. (6)
More yapping:
It’s refreshing to see an American company show sensitivity to the concerns of Americans opposed to Islamic jihad and its apologists. Too many of them bend over backward in the direction of anti-American political correctness. Naturally, liberal commentators on the Internet are now up in arms over Dunkin’ Donuts’ decision to yank the ad and mock anyone who expresses concern over the keffiyeh’s symbolism. (7)
According to a corporate email, the ad was pulled because the “possibility of misperception detached from its original intention to promote our iced coffee.” (8) Intention is beside the point. It looked like a kaffiyeh to Malkin and the rest of the White-trash blogosphere. The effect on the audience is what matters. Racheal Ray wearing a kaffiyeh in a Dunkin’ Donuts ad is not going to increase support for Palestinian or Iraqi liberation one iota. However, in this case, Malkin and her ilk have generated a controversy, putting the screws to corporate Amerika, they’ve created a frenzied, anti-Arab spectacle in the media. Thus ensuring that Amerikans remember that they hate Arabs.
