Lackeys in Iran: Help! Obama! Help!

(monkeysmasheshheaven.wordpress.com)

This week witnessed demonstrations in the streets of Tehran. According to reports, these are the first significant ones since the end of demonstrations surrounding the contested presidential elections months ago. The recent protests come at a time of increased pressure on the Islamic Republic by the imperialists over Iran’s nuclear energy program.

According to reports, some demonstrators went onto the streets to protest the legitimacy of Ahmadinejad. Others defended the Iranian state’s “hard line” toward the US. According to reports, in Haft-e-Tir Square, demonstrators clashed with police.

The anti-government protesters openly sought imperialist help. In a widely circulated youtube clip, anti-government demonstrators in Tehran chant in Farsi: “Obama, Obama, you are either with them, or with us!” Another widely chanted slogan, aimed at Ahmadinejad, was “Death to the dictator!”  The Obama administration responded by calling on an end of violence against the anti-government protesters. Press secretary Robert Gibbs said Obama administration leaders “hope greatly that violence will not spread.”

By contrast, at the rally to mark the 30th year anniversary of the takeover of the US embassy where 52 Amerikans were held hostage for 444 days, thousands gathered in front of the US embassy chanting “death to Amerika!”  US flags were trampled and marched on.

The US public overwhelmingly supports imperialist action against Iran. According to a recent poll, the majority, 61 percent, of Amerikans favor the use of military force against Iran.  Also, 71 percent of Israelis favor a military attack against Iran. The Obama administration has left no doubt whose side its on in numerous public statements criticizing the Islamic regime.

Behind the scenes, the Obama administration is surely aiding those forces that have been destabilizing Iran. Others too have played their parts behind the scenes to undermine anti-interventionist sentiment in the US. For years, fake-Maoist organizations like the RCP USA and other imperialist lackeys in the so-called “left” have parroted neo-con propaganda,  attacking Iran’s nuclear program and over gender issues. And, over the summer, First World “leftists,” caught up in the media hype, found themselves cheering what the US State Department hoped would be another pro-imperialist color revolution. These “leftist” forces are hardly friends of the Iranian people.

It is in this context, that Israel claims that its commandos have seized a shipment of 3,000 Iranian-made rockets bound for Lebanon to be used by Hezebollah. Whether this event is being reported truthfully or not,  it creates yet more pretext for imperialist attack against Iran. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu :

“The time has come for the international community to put real pressure on Iran for it to halt this despicable activity and back Israel when it defends itself against terrorists and their patrons.”

There is increased imperialist meddling and pressure being applied to Iran. Pretexts are being created for military intervention and public opinion is being shaped. Those who welcome imperialists as Iran’s saviors and those who end up in de facto alliances with imperialists as they attack Iran have no credibility among the masses. Those who oppose the imperialists are real patriots in Iran. Iran’s future should be decided by Iranians.

  1. The pro-American Iranians are either opportunists without limits or they are the most brainwashed mofos on the planet.

If you want to see the “help” that benevolent America brings you, just take a look next door at Iraq, where over 1 million Iraqis have been murdered by America’s war and countless millions more maimed, refugeed, or sold into sexual/wage slavery.

And if that doesn’t convince these Iranian Gucci “Revolutionaries” take a look next door at their eastern neighbor Afghanistan….

    • Also look at Palestine and South Ossetia.

Westerners looking at the propaganda in the imperialist media are likely to assume that there’s a big grass-roots wave of sentiment against Ahmedinejad and in favor of the united $nakes. What they don’t understand is that it is ALWAYS possible in class society to find some quislings by sloshing a few dollars around. Of course there’s a comprador element in Iran that will lick the ass of the united $nakes of imperialism, just as there was a comprador element in socialist China, socialist Albania, and the socialist Soviet Union. That doesn’t mean that the masses are in love with imperialism.

  2. And yet what’s more disgusting is how the Iranian “left”, to some level, was participating in the “Green Revolution” and the imperialist agitation campaign. Some so-called “communists” were characterizing the protests as a popular revolt just because 3 million people took to the streets, but forgetting that Iran has over 65 million inhabitants making those demonstrations an insignificant minority. Anyone with a few brain cells can take notice of just how bourgeoisie in nature and blatanly phony those protests were.

    • The U$ imperialists make sure that there is plenty to slosh around.

In an interview with NPR on his latest New Yorker Article, titled ‘Preparing the battlefield’, the renowned investigative journalist Seymour Hersh reveals more striking details of his findings on the aim of the $400 million budgeted US covert operations inside Iran. He provides valuable information on US military preparations to strike the country, on the total expansion of the Bush Administration’s executive power, about the US recognition of Iran’s overall positive role in Iraq and on the US support for the anti-Iran terrorist organisations Jondollah, PJAK and MEK.

This kind of money ,not small change, can slosh all round the world in the hands of the CIA as it did in the Iran- Nicaragua -CIA -Israel Oliver North days.

The Imperialists claim the right to interfere in other countries in order to promote As an “export” the corrupt way of life of Amerikkka, they call this way of life and mickey Mouse and “free” sex for those with money culture, U$ ‘Democracy”

Some, like me, suspect that some of this money is circulating in the ameriKa ‘revolutionary left”
after sloshing through the hands of a certain agent with a personality cult complex living on the RIM ,or ass**** of the world ,in “exile” in Paris.

Once the dough is funnelled back to amerikkka it is used by “left” revolutionary groups to promote ’pro” women’s lib anti Iranian demonstrations and for promoting the idea that liberals and ‘lefts” of amerikkka should support an alliance between the “left” in Iran and an invading U$ forces against the Iranian “theocrat’ government .
They call this a “Communist” policy supporting a “third Force” Peoples War!
But this “third force” they support are really paid for terrorists of the type Seymour Hersh discusses .

Some in the recent “democracy” demonstrations in Iran were active paid agents acting for the U$ and British oil imperialists in stirring up class differences between the city based Bourgeois and the poor country people , on how the national incomes in oil and gas rents should be controlled and divided up amongst the classes,- and letting the imperialist oil and gas companies in for a cut too in return for investment to develop the new huge gas resources and for pipelines.

  3. To be fair, revolutions are usually spurned by a minority, LF, so, the size of the protest isn’t really the issue.

    • Prior to the Russian revolution ,according to Marx revolutions were ALWAYS led by a minority that portrayed their own class interests as in the majority interest , as in the French revolution , but once state power was held by the Bourgeois class the proletarian supporters were discarded. A few left Jacobin minority types still pop up on these web pages.

Now we need a revolution of the majority of the world the poor and oppressed of the third world.
It is the task of revolutionaries even if they are a minority in their own western first world countries to encourage and to educate people of other classes that this revolution is in the interest of all humanity.

And for the peoples in the third world to dare to seize state power in their own countries for the majority.

      • 2mv,

The size of the protest does matter. When dissent is coming from like 4% of the total population then it should be regarded as insignificant and bogus. And what sort of ‘revolution’ are we talking about, anyways? A bourgeoisie revolution?

Revolutions are not supposed to be carried out by a small band of ‘focoists’ acting on the behalf of the majority. Revolutions are best carried out by forming a united front between all the various sections of labor movements. This united front spurs a torrential tide of militant masses who’s duty is to seize state power and run its affairs in accordance with the immediate interests of the proletariat.

“The time of surprise attacks, of revolutions, carried through by small conscious minorities at the head of unconscious masses, is past. Where it is a question of a complete transformation of the social organization, the masses themselves must also be in it, must themselves already have grasped what is at stake, what they are going in for with body and soul.”

(Frederick Engels (1895), intro to The Class Struggles in France 1848 to 1850)

  4. They wave the red flag to oppose the red flag. No true revolutionary would endorse such a traitorous line and support the U$A.

  5. The main contradiction in capitalism is the antagonistic contradiction of the mutually opposite interests of the exploited working class and the capitalist class . This contradiction can easily be seen on a world scale in the opposing interests of the proletarian working people of the third world countries and the exploiting First World countries.

The capitalist class of the First World are organised as competing imperialisms and imperialist blocs that both contend and collude for their joint exploitation for profit of the third world countries and their peoples in order to exploit their cheap” labour and natural resources for industry , and to seize the rent incomes flowing from ownership of natural resources like from oil and gas.
In earlier times they did this through open colonialism ,the exclusive control by particular countries of the markets of their colonies. In the last century the competition between the imperialist blocs for market shares in the oppressed countries led to two world wars and numerous smaller wars.

Where there is oppression there is resistance so since WW2 there is already an ongoing war of continuous permanent war by First world imperialism against this or that resisting third world people or countries . On the one hand they are economic wars to keep these countries “in their place” and on the other hand they can be seen as positioning skirmishes by the military of the different imperialist blocs setting up military bases and strategic resources control etc as preparation for world war between the imperialist blocs.

Contention for profit between the imperialists is primary and permanent and any collusion secondary and temporary . Thus as long as imperialism and imperialist blocs exists and capitalist economic crises develop , as they are bound to do, because of the nature of capitalism and the tendency to a falling rate of profit for capital , the danger of an outbreak of another world war is great. One can even say that another Imperialist World war between the imperialist blocs is not only likely but inevitable. Under Neo-colonialism and “Free Trade” Globalism the peaceful collusion of the imperialist blocs under the dollar hegemony in world trade and finance has been primary in recent decades.

Maoist Third Wordists are hopeful and confident that the contradiction between the third world countries proletariat and first world countries and the danger to humanity from another world war will be resolved by Peoples Wars on an international scale and with the struggles of the individual countries mutually aiding and supporting one another in isolating the imperialists from their profit sources, thereby bringing the exploitation of the third world to an end.
Peoples Wars in a country are waged by uniting all classes and peoples that can be united against the imperialist oppressors according to the actual conditions within the country. As the oppression of the imperialists is not confined to just exploiting the working class but whole countries there is great potential for building a United Front in many countries even with patriotic elements of the national bourgeoisie for ending this oppression on a national level.

While this building of a United Front is possible in many countries it is necessary to remember that even the patriotic Bourgeoisie may have different aims than the proletariat according to there own class interests.
The Bourgeoisie for example may only have an aim for creating an independent capitalist state free from imperialist exploitation and the corruption of comprador capitalists and traitors.
To understand the possibilities for developing a United Front with a patriotic bourgeois, it is necessary to make concrete economic and class analysis of the different countries and the different class interests within the country, so as not to build up unrealistic expectations .

In the world today the Iranians are an important part of the United front being forged by the Third world Countries against imperialism . And there is great support for the government by the poorer and more proletarian classes for that. As in Iran , even though the majority is poor the internal class contradiction is not between an industrial proletariat and its bourgeoisie .Iran can be seen as a Rentier state that is dependent on and derives the bulk of its incomes from selling its oil an gas in an imperialist world . While the majority of its people are a part of the third World economically it can also as a country be viewed as a Second World Country of imperialism. The high price it gets for its oil and gas is dependent on the continued existence of that Monopoly driven imperialist system of production and wealth distribution in the world today . Its bourgeoisie know where its class interests lie. They will fight so far and no further. While the Iranian poor wish the struggle against the imperialist ‘great Satan” of the world to continue without let up to the end.

It is Trotskyism that pays no attention to the internal class interests of a countries peoples and that only sees one contradiction in the world requiring instant world permanent revolution , so that for example they still cry that the Iranian bourgeoisie and those revolutionary communists allied in a United Front against the Shah and imperialism “ betrayed” THEIR own pure ideal world revolutionary dream . Forgetting that history is a history of class struggle not a struggle between intellectual idealists and great leaders representing the ideologies of the different classes and that there are more than one classes in a country and more than one contradiction in the world .Or that revolution is a step by step process and that quantative changes lead to qualitative changes.
While communists say” Never forget class struggle” and develop Theories ,strategies and tactics for that ,like The United Front , as Mao did in China, these trot$kyite fake Marxist twits have only heard that there is class struggle in the world and have no strategy and tactics for that, beyond a one size fits all cry of “Permanent” Revolution” and “interventions” at critical moments by their great leaders to change the course of history.

The bourgeoisie in Iran was fighting for its own class and national interests. What ever armed class leads that United Front and achieves STATE power may be decisive in its result. For example The Iranian armed struggle against imperialism was a successful struggle for national independence for its patriotic capitalist class and compromises were forced by the working peoples on the national bourgeios for a more equitable distribution of the rent incomes from the now nationalised oil and gas resources , So this result was not without some great benefit to the working people .
This was a great step forward . Now free from imperialist internal interventions the future internal class divisions between their people can be resolved not by struggles against the imperialists and their internal compradors like the old Shah but by democratic or even armed revolution of the people in an internal class struggle without the imperialists (and their trots$kyst “third force” military terrorists groups ) having any major ,or real say in the affairs of an independent country
