All the facts about the Fort Hood shootings are not in yet. The facts may never be fully known. After all, the bourgeois media, the accused’s handlers, and others, will try to craft their own narratives around the events. However, it is reported that there was a mass shooting that killed 13 and wounded 30 others at Fort Hood on November 5th, 2009. The alleged shooter is Major Nidal Malik Hasan, a US Army psychiatrist. According to reports, Hasan, a Muslim, is a vocal opponent of the war. He reportedly defended armed resistance to imperialism, including suicide attacks on US forces. Whether or not the shootings were a politically motivated attack against imperialism is not known yet.

The bourgeois media has condemned the horror of the shootings. However, capitalism-imperialism is the real horror. The continued existence of the US and other imperialist countries is the real horror. The US was born of the greatest genocide in human history. Amerikans exterminated a continent of Indigenous civilizations to make way for its racist empire. Millions of Blacks and Africans were killed and enslaved to make the US what it is today: the most murderous country that has ever existed. There is not a corner of the Third World that escapes the murderous grasp of US imperialism. Billions of people in the Third World barely survive, making less than 2.50 dollars a day, exploited by the US and First World. Billions live in poverty so that US and other First World populations live in luxury. Billions live under constant military threat from the imperialists. In Iraq alone there have been 100,000 to 600,000 violent deaths since 2003. In Afghanistan, there have been 12,000 to 32,000 civilian deaths since 2001.

Those who strike out against the real horrors of imperialism should be applauded, not condemned. Fragging has a long histoy. In the last century, fragging was a form of resistance practiced by Russian troops against their Czarist officers during World War 1 and the Bolshevik revolution. Fragging was also a form of protest against the genocide waged by the US against Vietnam.

Fragging is still a valid form of resistance today.  Not only does fragging hurt imperialist forces in a very direct way, fragging strikes a strong psychological blow against the enemy. Fragging demoralizes and destroys the enemy from within.

Islamic cleric Anwar al Awlaki, who knew Hasan earlier in life, had this to say about the events:

“Nidal Hassan is a hero. He is a man of conscience who could not bear living the contradiction of being a Muslim and serving in an army that is fighting against his own people. This is a contradiction that many Muslims brush aside and just pretend that it doesn’t exist. Any decent Muslim cannot live, understanding properly his duties towards his Creator and his fellow Muslims, and yet serve as a US soldier. The US is leading the war against terrorism which in reality is a war against Islam. Its army is directly invading two Muslim countries and indirectly occupying the rest through its stooges.

Nidal opened fire on soldiers who were on their way to be deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. How can there be any dispute about the virtue of what he has done? In fact the only way a Muslim could Islamically justify serving as a soldier in the US army is if his intention is to follow the footsteps of men like Nidal.

The heroic act of brother Nidal also shows the dilemma of the Muslim American community. Increasingly they are being cornered into taking stances that would either make them betray Islam or betray their nation. Many amongst them are choosing the former. The Muslim organizations in America came out in a pitiful chorus condemning Nidal’s operation.

The fact that fighting against the US army is an Islamic duty today cannot be disputed. No scholar with a grain of Islamic knowledge can defy the clear cut proofs that Muslims today have the right -rather the duty- to fight against American tyranny. Nidal has killed soldiers who were about to be deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan in order to kill Muslims. The American Muslims who condemned his actions have committed treason against the Muslim Ummah and have fallen into hypocrisy.

Allah(swt) says: Give tidings to the hypocrites that there is for them a painful punishment –

Those who take disbelievers as allies instead of the believers. Do they seek with them honor [through power]? But indeed, honor belongs to Allah entirely. (al-Nisa 136-137)

The inconsistency of being a Muslim today and living in America and the West in general reveals the wisdom behind the opinions that call for migration from the West. It is becoming more and more difficult to hold on to Islam in an environment that is becoming more hostile towards Muslims.

Floating parasitism

Royal Caribbean International has just launched the world’s largest cruise ship. The Oasis of the Seas weighs 225,282 tonnes. The ship is 360 meters long and 72 meters high above the water line. Passenger features include luxuries such as two-story loft suites and other luxury suites measuring 150 square meters with balconies overlooking the sea or promenades. Its capacity is 5,400 passengers, 6,296 people total.

The passengers will enjoy all the luxuries of a floating resort town. The ship will be divided into neighborhoods with different themes and activities. One ship highlight is the first living park at sea with 12,000 plants and 56 trees. The ship also includes a 750-seat outdoor amphitheater, a golf course, volley ball and basket ball courts, a zipline, a casino, a handcrafted carousel, rock climbing walls, several pools, many bars, a youth science lab and a computer gaming area.

The maiden voyage of this floating, behemoth monument to decadence is scheduled for December 5th, 2009. The vessel, along with a soon to be completed sister ship, will be based out of the US port of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The ship cost 1.4 billion dollars to construct, and even more to maintain and operate. The building cost of the ship is about the same as the GNP of Eritrea in 2008. The capitalist-imperialist system has dedicated roughly the equivalent of the GNP of an African country into creating a floating playground for First Worlders.

The average ticket price will be about 1,000 dollars for 7 days. This is not out of the range of the average adult Amerikan who has an income of 32,000 dollars per year. By contrast, many people in the Third World don’t even earn 1,000 dollars in an entire year. In fact, there are more people in India whose yearly income is less than a 1,000-dollar ticket. The vast majority of the workforce make less than Rs. 20 or 0.49 dollars a day.

This is an example of what Karl Marx identified as the anarchy of production under capitalism. Capitalism produces for the market, it does not produce to meet the needs of the vast majority. Under  socialism, by contrast, the few will not be able to take a cruise on a floating utopia while others fight for their basic survival. Under socialism, the global distribution will be one that is more rational and egalitarian. The First World itself will be abolished under global socialism. Under socialism, the few will not benefit at the expense of the many.

Third World countries protest First World countries over climate change

50 African countries walked out of a UN working meeting on climate change in Barcelona, Spain. The African and 70 other Third World countries have been protesting U.N. climate negotiations this week. According to the African spokespeople, the wealthy countries make weak commitments to environmental protection and it is the poor countries suffer the most severe consequences.

Africa, for example, is being devastated by droughts and floods that result from climate changes. Even though the Third World accounts for only a third of greenhouse gasses, it will suffer 80 percent of the damage resulting from climate change. According to an African Union official, the state of Texas alone “with 30 million inhabitants creates as much greenhouse gases as the billion Africans taken together.”

Africans advocate that the First World countries should reduce their carbon emissions by at least 40 percent by 2020. The African demand lines up with the upper limit advocated by scientists. However, so far, the targets that have been announced, favored by First World countries, have fallen far short.

These protests set the stage for negotiations at the final Copenhagen conference. UN negotiators hope to adopt a final treaty to reduce worldwide carbon emissions. The Copenhagen deal would succeed the 1997 Kyoto Protocol, which sought to reduce gas emissions from industrial countries by 5 percent. Of all the major greenhouse gas producers, the US was the only one to reject the Kyoto accord.

Environmental issues, especially global warming, affects both First and Third World peoples. However, First World peoples are the ones who benefit the most from greenhouse economy. The greenhouse economy, the capitalist-imperialist economy, is an economy that principally serves First World consumers at the expense of Third World producers. Yet those who suffer most from climate change are peoples in the Third World. Any fair treaty to reduce carbon emissions should put the brunt of responsibility on First World countries to clean up the environmental mess that results from the world system that serves their endless consumption. In addition, any fair treaty should respect and not impede Third World development and sovereignty.

Lackeys in Iran: Help! Obama! Help!

This week witnessed demonstrations in the streets of Tehran. According to reports, these are the first significant ones since the end of demonstrations surrounding the contested presidential elections months ago. The recent protests come at a time of increased pressure on the Islamic Republic by the imperialists over Iran’s nuclear energy program.

According to reports, some demonstrators went onto the streets to protest the legitimacy of Ahmadinejad. Others defended the Iranian state’s “hard line” toward the US. According to reports, in Haft-e-Tir Square, demonstrators clashed with police.

The anti-government protesters openly sought imperialist help. In a widely circulated youtube clip, anti-government demonstrators in Tehran chant in Farsi: “Obama, Obama, you are either with them, or with us!” Another widely chanted slogan, aimed at Ahmadinejad, was “Death to the dictator!”  The Obama administration responded by calling on an end of violence against the anti-government protesters. Press secretary Robert Gibbs said Obama administration leaders “hope greatly that violence will not spread.”

By contrast, at the rally to mark the 30th year anniversary of the takeover of the US embassy where 52 Amerikans were held hostage for 444 days, thousands gathered in front of the US embassy chanting “death to Amerika!”  US flags were trampled and marched on.

The US public overwhelmingly supports imperialist action against Iran. According to a recent poll, the majority, 61 percent, of Amerikans favor the use of military force against Iran.  Also, 71 percent of Israelis favor a military attack against Iran. The Obama administration has left no doubt whose side its on in numerous public statements criticizing the Islamic regime.

Behind the scenes, the Obama administration is surely aiding those forces that have been destabilizing Iran. Others too have played their parts behind the scenes to undermine anti-interventionist sentiment in the US. For years, fake-Maoist organizations like the RCP USA and other imperialist lackeys in the so-called “left” have parroted neo-con propaganda,  attacking Iran’s nuclear program and over gender issues. And, over the summer, First World “leftists,” caught up in the media hype, found themselves cheering what the US State Department hoped would be another pro-imperialist color revolution. These “leftist” forces are hardly friends of the Iranian people.

It is in this context, that Israel claims that its commandos have seized a shipment of 3,000 Iranian-made rockets bound for Lebanon to be used by Hezebollah. Whether this event is being reported truthfully or not,  it creates yet more pretext for imperialist attack against Iran. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu :

“The time has come for the international community to put real pressure on Iran for it to halt this despicable activity and back Israel when it defends itself against terrorists and their patrons.”

There is increased imperialist meddling and pressure being applied to Iran. Pretexts are being created for military intervention and public opinion is being shaped. Those who welcome imperialists as Iran’s saviors and those who end up in de facto alliances with imperialists as they attack Iran have no credibility among the masses. Those who oppose the imperialists are real patriots in Iran. Iran’s future should be decided by Iranians.

Sa Liyab ng Libong Sulo

Ang “Sa Liyab ng Libong Sulo” ay isang bidyu-dokumentaryo na gawa nuong 1996 at hango sa librong, “Lipunan at Rebolusyong Pilipino,” ni Amado Guerrero. Inilalarawan nito ang kasaysayan ng pakikibaka ng sambayanang Pilipino magmula nuong kapanahunan ng kolonyalismong Espanyol hanggang sa panahon ng imperyalismo sa pagbungad ng bagong milenyo. Tampok rito ang proletaryong pananaw sa kasaysayan, kaya nga naman binansagan itong “subersibo” at ipinagbawal pa ng reaksyunaryong gubyerno. Sa rami ng reklamo ng mga reaksyunaryo sa pelikulang ito, ni isa sa kanila ay hindi pinagusapan ang nilalaman ng pelikula ukol sa tunggalian ng uri, na batay lamang sa katotohanang nagaganap sa lipunan. Alam na alam ng mga reaksyunaryo ang batas ng tunggalian ng uri, ngunit hindi nila ito inaamin sa publiko.

Reklamo ng isa:

“Ang hanap ng lahat ay kapayapaan, kaayusan, katahimikan – mga bagay na hindi maibibigay ng pagyakap sa isang ideolohiya na di tanggap ng nakararami, na ikinokondena ng Simbahan, na di tinatangkilik ng pamahalaan.” … “Pakiramdam ko kasi’y isang pagbebrainwash… isang pagtatangka na isubo sa aking utak ang isang mapait na lason.”

Sa halip na punahin niya ang makasaysayang naratibo ng pelikula gamit ang wastong pagaargumento, nauwi siya sa paggamit ng estilong “ad homimem” at “argument from authority”. Hindi basta sinabi ng simbahan, o gubyerno ay totoo, binase lamang ng nag-iingit na kritiko ang kanyang makitid na pananaw mula sa anti-komunistang retoriko ng mga reaksyunaryo. Bukambibig niya ang salita ng mga ahenteng pang-psywar ng berdugong militar, taglay rin niya ang kababuyang lohika ng mga naghaharing uring panginoong maylupa at burgesyang kumprador. At hindi kagulat-gulat ang kanyang naging reaksyon, ang mga kaaway ay natural na kinikilabutan kapag naririnig ang mga salitang rebolusyong proletaryo, sosyalismo, komunismo: ang mga salitang ito’y nangangahulagan lamang kasi ng kanilang katapusan. Masdan na iniiwasan niya ang anumang makabuluhang pagtalakay sa mga makasaysayang kaganapang naibanggit sa dokumentaryo, alam rin nila kasi na ang kasaysayan ay hindi panig sa kanila kaya pilit nilang palabuin ito para sa sariling pakinabang.

Ito ay sumasalamin sa mga realidad ng lipunan, ang mga krimen na kinasasangkutan ng mga naghaharing uri ay hindi nabibigyan ng pansin, bagkus ay sadyang kinakalimutan. Nagagawa ng mga reaksyunaryo na baguhin ang kasaysayan gamit ang pang-estadong kapangyarihan, at palabasin na sila pa ay mapagmalasakit. Mula sa mga librong ginagamit ng mga estudyante hanggang sa anong mapanood at marinig sa telebisyon ay kontrolado ng estado. Para magbanggit ng ilan, meron pa bang balita tungkol sa masaker sa Hacienda Luisita? Naaalala pa ba ng mga tao ang Mendiola Massacre nuong 1987? Kahit ang mga lider ng mga ligal at mapayapang pagkilos para sa reporma sa lupa ay pinapatay, isang halimbawa ay yung kaso ng mga magsasaka sa Sumilao. Ang kamay ng mga naghaharing uri ay basang-basa sa dugo ng mamamayan subalit lagi na lang nagbubulag-bulagan at tikom ang bibig ng midya, maging ang simbahan.

Sa saradong mundo ng mga reaksyunaryo, wala naman talagang nangyaring mga henosidyo sa Pilipinas nuong pisikal na sinakop tayo ng mga dayuhan, masamang panaginip lang yung mga tributo na ipinataw sa sambayanan ng mga parasitikong Prayle, kolonyal na estado bilang kabuuan, imahinasyon lang yung madugong polisiyang “kill all above ten” ng U$ military nuong ipinasa tayo ng mga espanyol sa kano, at kathang-isip lang ang Bataan death march. Nililikha ng mga reaksyunaryo ang mga ganitong kabulastugan sapagkat gusto nilang kalimutan ng masa ang kasaysayan, sa ganitong paraan nais ng mga reaksyunaro na mapanatiling bulag at bingi ang kamalayan ng masa sa sanhi ng kanilang kaapihan. Gusto nilang kalimutan ng masa ang kasaysayan, ang tunggalian ng uri, at palitan ng ipinalalandakang nilang teorya ng mga produktibong pwersa. Habang atubili ang naghaharing uri sa pagpapahirap sa bayan, habang inilalako nila ang bayan sa presyong pinakamura para sa mga imperyalista, gusto nilang sabihin sa masang naghihikahos na tularan ang imperyalistang Unang Daigdig at kilalanin sila bilang tagapagligtas ng sambayanang Pilipino at ng buong sangkatauhan. Gusto nilang alisan ng pag-asa at panghinaan ng loob ang masang inaapi at pinagsasamantala. Layon ng mga reaksyunaryo na pasamain ang sosyalismo at ijustify ang walang katarungan na kaayusang panlipunan na kanilang pinakikinabangan, upang ipamukha sa anakpawis na habang buhay silang magiging alipin.

Walang tunay na “kapayapaan, kaayusan, katahimikan” sa ganitong klase ng lipunan. Ang “kapayapaan, kaayusan, katahimikan” para sa mga naghaharing uri ay sukat lang ng ayos ng pagtakbo ng kanilang mga negosyo at karera. Maingay nilang inirereklamo ang karahasan ng rebolusyonaryong armadong pakikibaka, pero mula’t sapul ay marahas naman talaga ang tunggalian ng uri. Dagdag pa rito, hindi nila magawang aminin ang pang araw-araw na karahasan na dinudulot ng pangangalaga sa naghaharing sistema, ang karahasang dinudulot ng kapitalismo-imperyalismo bilang kabuuan sa mga aping mamamayan ng Ikatlong Daigdig, na oras-oras na pinapatay at ginugutom.

Lagi na lang ipinapahiwatig ng mga reaksyunaryo na kasalanan ng mga mahihirap kung bakit sila mahirap, ang mga mahihirap daw ay dapat lang manatiling mahirap at ang mayayaman ay marapat lang magpakayaman. Dahilan naman ng mga relihiyosong orden, ito raw ay sadyang “likas” at kapasyahan ng “diyos”. Ayon naman sa mga sobonistang petiburges, kaya raw mahirap ang masa ay dahil sila ay tamad at bobo, kaya naman mayaman ang mayaman ay dahil sila ay masipag at matalino – ganito ang takbo ng mga kaisipang reaksyunaryo, hindi nila mabigyang sagot ang problema na sila rin ang lumikha tapos ibabaling nila ang sisi sa proletaryo. Hindi isinisikreto ng kasaysayan na ang simbahan at ang midya ay kinakasangkapan lamang ng mga naghaharing uri para sa kanilang iba’t-ibang agenda. Sabi narin ng obskurantistang simbahan magmula pa nuon upang pangatwiranan at gawing panghabangbuhay ang kanilang mapaniil na paghahari sa masa, mamamatay raw muna ang mga mahihirap bago nila makamit ang kasaganahan…duon sa “paraiso”.

Hindi tulad ng mga metapisikong reaksyunaryo, tayong mga rebolusyonaryo ay armado ng syensya, alam natin na ang takbo ng kasaysayan at ang kinabukasan ng sangkatauhan ay hindi umiikot sa mga antedelubyang kasulatin ng bibliya, sapagkat tao ang siyang may hawak ng kanyang kapalaran. Ating balik-aralan ang kasaysayan, makikita natin na ang masa ang siyang mapagpasya. Sa paraan ng kolektibong pagkilos ay magagawa ng mga inaapi at inaalipin na baguhin ang takbo ng kasaysayan, ang mga taong api mismo ang siyang lilikha ng makatotohanang paraiso dito sa lupa, aabutin natin ang isang lipunang walang pang-aapi’t pagsasamantala.

Mabuhay ang Tagumpay ng Digmang Bayan!

Declaration of human rights and peace prize bearers of the Society for the Protection of Civil Right and Human Dignity (GBM), and the circle of friends “Ernst Thälmann Memorial”

Still within the 70th year, after the beginning of the Second World War, of the German raid on Poland, the important antifascist memorial in remembrance of the illegal conference at Ziegenhals of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Germany (KPD) and of its opposition to Hitler in Germany is to be torn down. The excavators are already standing by. This demolition must be prevented.

This memorial is no ordinary regional place of remembrance in an idyllic atmosphere in Krossinsee close to Berlin. It is not only a simple monument for an important leader of the German and international labour movement; an antifascist Reichstag representative for whose release from prison and concentration camp antifascists from all over the world fought for until he was murdered.

He had warned: “Who votes Hitler, votes for War!” He had, at this historic location, immediately after the fascist takeover of power – and in recognition of the KPD’s own shortcomings – called for a United Front, for the unfolding of all forms of mass resistance and mass struggle against the fascist dictatorship, against its wanton destruction, and for the overthrow of the Hitler government. He pleaded against the militarization of the country and of its youth to prevent a new imperialistic world war.

The preservation of this memorial is the duty of the Federal Republic of Germany. The German government was obliged to guarantee to the peoples of the world, who after World War II had the right to await that war would never again be started from German terrain, that war would, in fact, never be started from German soil again. This promise has been broken. See Yugoslavia or Afghanistan.

How it is possible, that a government in Germany, whose former government had started the 2nd world war and in whose regional and municipal parliaments today representatives of Neo-Nazis sit, in which radical right-wing activities and criminal offences abound and which is rife with anticommunism, can behave in such an unhistorical and irresponsible way? We demand that the Federal Republic fulfil her responsibility to preserve the memorial from this act of planned historical vandalism.

We demand that it be guaranteed that the Brandenburg Ministerial Council whose purchase of the property containing the memorial – whose give-away price can only be explained by the requirements for the preservation of sites of historic interest – fulfil their obligation under the purchase, “to further guarantee … a public use”.

The property’s owner may not put (as the Berlin Superior Court of Justice has stipulated) his self interests above the preservation of the memorial.

As human rights and peace prize bearers, we the Society for the Protection of Civil Rights and Human Dignity (GBM), demand to preserve in honorary recollection the contribution that Thälmann and the communists made in their antifascist fight, and to have their historical site of operation preserved as a National Memorial.

We demand the preservation and the reopening of the memorial in Ziegenhals at its authentic historic place.

Erklärung von Menschenrechts- und Friedenspreisträgern der Gesellschaft zum Schutz von Bürgerrecht und Menschenwürde e.V. GBM und des Freundeskreises „Ernst-Thälmann-Gedenkstätte“ e.V.

Noch im 70. Jahr des Beginns des Zweiten Weltkrieges mit dem deutschen Überfall auf Polen soll die bedeutende antifaschistische Gedenkstätte in Ziegenhals, die an die illegale Tagung des ZK der KPD und an den Widerstand gegen Hitler in Deutschland erinnert, abgerissen werden. Die Bagger stehen bereit. Der Abriss muß verhindert werden.

Diese Gedenkstätte ist kein bloßer regionaler Ort des Erinnerns in idyllischer Lage am Krossinsee nahe Berlin. Sie ist auch kein bloßes Ehrenmal für einen, wenn auch bedeutenden, Führer der deutschen und internationalen Arbeiterbewegung, für einen antifaschistischen Reichstagsabgeordneten, für dessen Freilassung aus Kerker und KZ sich bis zu seiner Ermordung Antifaschisten aus aller Welt einsetzten. Er hatte gemahnt, „Wer Hitler wählt, wählt Krieg“. Den Erhalt der Gedenkstätte zu sichern ist die Bundesrepublik Deutschland, ist die deutsche Regierung der internationalen Öffentlichkeit schuldig, die nach dem 2. Weltkrieg begann und in dessen regionalen und kommunalen Parlamenten heute auch Vertreter der Neonazis sitzen, in dem sich rechtsradikale Umzüge und Straftaten mehren und in dem der Antikommunismus grassiert, so geschichtswidrig und verantwortungslos verhalten? Wir fordern, dass die Bundesrepublik ihrer Verantwortung gerecht wird, das Denkmal vor dem geplanten Geschichtsvandalismus zu bewahren.

Wir fordern, dass gewährleistet wird, dass der zu einem nur durch die Denkmalschutzauflagen erklärbaren Schleuderpreis in den Besitz der Immobilie gekommene Brandenburgische Ministerialrat der Verpflichtung gerecht wird, die er mit dem Kauf einging, „eine öffentliche Nutzung . . . weiterhin zu gewährleisten“. Namatay si Corazon Aquino nuong nakaraang lingo. Pinaguusapan ng buong bayan ang pagkamatay ng isang dating papet. Ang midya ay muli na namang nagsimula ng kampanya para purihin siya. Ginagampanan ng midya ang sariling agenda bilang tagapagsalita ng isang pangkat ng mga reaksyunaryo na ipinapamalita ang tagumpay ng “demokrasya” laban sa diktadurang Marcos na para bang isang mahiwagang pangyayari. Revisionists in China and Amerikkkans want stronger military ties

Both the US and Chinese long for closer military ties. This feeling was expressed at a recent meeting attended by high ranking administration and military personnel from both countries. Both US Secretary of Defense Robert Gates and General Xu Caihou were present. This was the highest-level meeting between the countries since 2006. Pentagon secretary Geoff Morrell stated:

“There is a need to break the on-again, off-again cycle of our military-to-military relationship.”

The meeting is part of a week long tour to try to improve military relations. The scheduled events were to include trips to several US military bases by the Chinese. At the meeting, Xu expressed his support for the idea of more contact and integration of the US and Chinese militaries. Morrell said:

“He was very receptive to the notion put forth by Secretary Gates that we need to increase opportunities for cooperation and military exchanges.”

Xu was also receptive to educational exchanges for junior officers and senior non-commissioned officers.

The US military is the bloodiest in the world. The US has waged more war than any other country on Earth. More Third World peoples have died at the hands of the US’s forces than at the hands of any other military. The Chinese suffered roughly 150,000 deaths at the hands of the US and their allies in Korea in 1950-1953. The US military has been an enemy of China for at least a century.The US military tried to stop the Communists dead in their tracks by arming, advising, and participating on the side of the GMD against the communists in the civil war that brought Mao to power. In addition, the US launched constant military provocations against China in its revolutionary phase to the 1970s.

The relationship between the US and China today is one that goes back to the 1970s. It was in the early and mid 1970s that China began warming up to the US as part of the restoration of capitalism. Maoists referred to the People’s Liberation Army of the Maoist era as the main “pillar of the proletarian dictatorship. Yet after the fall of Lin Biao in 1971, the Maoists were, for the most part, purged from the top ranks of the PLA. Revisionists who backed capitalist reforms were put in charge of the PLA. China entered into a de facto alliance with the US shortly after Lin Biao’s global people’s war policy was dropped. Deng Xiaoping supporters within the PLA would later play a key role in arresting the remaining Maoists, including Mao’s wife Jiang Qing, following the death of Mao in 1976.

The Chinese People’s Liberation Army, when it was founded, was entirely different than the US military. Today, however, the capitalists in China have turned its military into an arm of the capitalist, not proletarian, power. That both the US and China seek more cooperation between their militaries is another indication that China has long sense completed the capitalist restoration that began in the 1970s. The nature of the PLA has long since changed. As Maoists say, “its flag has turned color.”

4. Pokój. Kapitalizm jest systemem który generuje niezliczoną ilość wojen dla zysku. Wielu pierwszoświatowców ginie w tych wojnach. Najgorsze wojny w historii były wojnami wewnąrzimperialistycznymi, a obie Wojny Światowe spowodowały śmierć dziesiątek milionów, razem z pierwszoświatowcami. Socjalizm zagwarantuje, że nikt nie zginie w wojnie o zyski. Nikt nie zginie w celu utrzymania klasy pasożytów. Nikt nie zginie w ten bezsensowny sposób. Socjalizm oznacza pokój i zapomnienie imperialistycznych wojen.

Comprador Indian State Gears Up for Massive War on its Own People

For some months now the comprador Indian state, already up to its neck in extreme and bloody paramilitary and pig repression – police as well as government-backed Salwa Judum death squads have been running amok in rural areas – has been about to engage over 100,000 troops against lower-caste adivasi (indigeneous or “tribal” people)-populated regions of Andhra Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Orissa and West Bengal states. Its aim is to combat the Maoist Naxalite movement’s armed resistance to superexploitation.

A brief reprieve for the Indian masses was announced on Monday October 12, 2009 when Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said that armed forces would not be deployed just yet. True Maoists and serious analysts of Indian affairs agree that this is but a respite for the downtrodden Indian peasantry and rural proletariat. The Indian state has and will continue to use brute force against any challenge to imperialist control of India’s economy and polity. Make no mistake: it is the imperialists in the U$ military who are pulling the strings of the Indian army in this latest “counter-insurgency” operation, part of the ongoing Third World War against the people of the Third World. It is the same experts and advisers running torture camps in Iraq, bombing missions in Pakistan and death squads in Colombia who are responsible for Indian state aggression against some of the world’s poorest and most downtrodden people.

India’s rural population is being bled dry by Indian comprador capitalism linked to western mining, forestry, industrial and financial interests. In recent decades, the precious little security India’s rural poor had in the form of forests, land, rivers, privately-held land and common pastures have been taken away as the Indian state scrapped the very few protectionist measures intended to safeguard its own economic growth and opened the economy up to imperialist “neo-liberal” restructuring.

Since India achieved formal independence from the Brutish Empire, it has not sought to develop its economy in the interests of its own people, but has continued in new forms the old colonial policy of enriching an elite bourgeoisie with ties to western business interests at the expense of its superexploited workforce. As a result of the cynical subservience of the Indian ruling class to imperialism,

“77% of the Indian population in 2004-2005 had a per capita daily consumption expenditure of less than Rs. 20; that is less than 50 cents by the current nominal exchange rate between the rupee and the US dollar and about $2 in purchasing power parity terms. According to the 2001 Census, even 62 years after political independence, only about 42 percent of Indian households have access to electricity. About 80 percent of the households do not have access to safe drinking water; that is a staggering 800 million people lacking access to potable water… 93 percent of the workforce, the overwhelming majority of the working people in India, are what the National Commission for Enterprises in the Unorganised Sector (NCEUS) called “informal workers”; these workers lack any employment security, work security and social security. About 58 percent of them work in the agricultural sector and the rest is engaged in manufacturing and services. Wages are very low and working conditions extremely onerous, leading to persistent and deep poverty, which has been increasing over the last decade and a half in absolute terms: the number of what the National Commission for Enterprises in the Unorganised Sector (NCEUS) called the “poor and vulnerable” increased from 811 million in 1999-00 to 836 million in 2004-05. Since majority of the working people still work in the agricultural sector, the economic stagnation in agriculture is a major cause for the continued poverty of the vast majority of the people. Since the Indian state did not undertake land reforms in any meaningful sense, the distribution of land remains extremely skewed to this day. Close to 60 percent of rural households are effectively landless; and extreme economic vulnerability and despair among the small and marginal peasantry has resulted in the largest wave of suicides in history: between 1997 and 2007, 182,936 farmers committed suicide. This is the economic setting of the current conflict.” (2)

Naturally, many of India’s rural people have fought back, bravely and heroically, against the comprador state. The Maoist movement that has grown as a response to the onerous depredations imposed by force upon the Indian masses has struck a blow for freedom and has therefore been targeted by freedom’s natural enemies: the imperialists and their lackeys. Since it is not in their class interests to provide effective political power and a decent standard of living for their poorest “citizens”, the Indian state has responded in the most reactionary way. It believes that popular resistance to comprador capitalism can be quelled using repression. As a recent statement of concern and protest signed by Arundhati Roy, Noam Chomsky and others correctly notes: “Kill the poor and not the poverty, seems to be the implicit slogan of the Indian government”. Maoist-Third Worldists consider that the Indian government is pursuing a policy of divide and rule in its propaganda. It seeks to whip up religious and caste-based chauvinism against the adivasis so as to distract from the miserable and eminently transformable conditions of the exploited majority in the country. Meanwhile, some Indian “Marxist-Leninist” groups describing the renegade Prachanda’s leadership as “statesmanlike” and lambasting the CPI(M) critique of Nepalese revisionism, have complained that this latest government offensive plays right into the hands of India’s Maoist/Naxalite movement. They accuse the latter of engaging in petty acts of individual terrorism, rejecting mass struggle and making zero inroads into state power in four decades. We cannot take these criticisms seriously, considering the reformist economism of at least sizeable sections of India’s “Marxist-Leninist” left.

In contrast, Maoist-Third Worldists call for maximum solidarity with the oppressed Indian proletariat in their righteous armed struggle against imperialist terror. Indian state oppression must be resisted through a united front of the downtrodden masses against Indian comprador capitalism and semi-feudalism.

Palestinians should have nukes says Gaddafi

Gaddafi has recently said that Palestinians and others in the Arab world should be armed with nuclear weapons.

“If the Israelis have the nuclear weapons and the nuclear capabilities, then it is the right of the Egyptians, the Syrians, the Saudis to have the same — even the Palestinians should have the same because their counterparts, or their opponents, have nuclear capabilities.”

He added:

“And, if we don’t want this situation, so we’ll have to disarm the Israelis from their nuclear weapons and capabilities.”

When discussing the possibility of a nuclear-armed Iran, last September at a Council on Foreign Relations meeting, Gaddafi said that India, Pakistan, China, Russia,the US and Israel have nuclear weapons. He sarcastically asked, “All of them have nuclear bombs. Why not take military action against them?” Of all the countries, only the US has used nuclear weapons on another. Of all the countries, the US has been in more wars than any other. Of all the countries, the US has caused the most suffering. If any country should be disarmed, it should be the US. While the US, the greatest warmonger on Earth, stockpiles more and more weapons, it forces other countries to reduce their own. In an agreement with the Bush administration, Gaddafi dismantled his “weapons of mass destruction” in 2003 in order to break the US-imposed isolation of Libya. And, according to the northern Koreans, the US is increasing its “bunker-buster” bomb production in order to threaten northern Korean nuclear sites.

The imperialists are the main source of instability the world over just as the imperialists are the biggest purveyor of arms in the world; imperialists are the greatest beneficiaries of arms races the world over. If any regional power is to be condemned in the Middle East for creating “instability” and an “arms race,” it is the nuclear-armed, Zionist entity of Israel. With a blank check from the U$, the nuclear-armed, Zionist entity has waged genocidal wars in the region since its inception. The imperialists are not concerned with the well-being of the Third World. Like the US, Israel should be disarmed.

Our goal is to, ultimately, get rid of all weapons, including nuclear weapons. Our goal is peace. However, in a world where the imperialists and compradors have a near monopoly on nuclear violence, proliferation of nuclear weapons to Third World patriotic forces is one of the ways to prevent imperialist bullying.

A Speech by a RAIM Comrade on the 8th Anniversary of the Invasion of Afghanistan

The following was delivered by a RAIM comrade on October 7th, 2009, the 8th anniversary of the invasion of Afghanistan. In the speech, the RAIM comrade tells the audience of anti-war and police brutality activists, anarchists and RAIM supporters that the problem is not Bush or Obama, it is Amerika.

“Leonard Peltier is a political prisoner – an artist, a writer, a father whose life has been stolen. Locked away for defending his land. Locked away in Amerikkka’s dungeons. He just sent an open letter to the president. To paraphrase: ‘I am not Bush’s political prisoner. I am your political prisoner now.’ He is Obama’s responsibility. This is an important point, especially for the liberals here whose politics begin and end with ‘throw out the Bush regime.’ Well, Bush is gone. Surprise, surprise. Amerikkka is still at war. Two wars wasn’t enough. Iraq, Afghanistan, and now Pakistan. And Iran is in the cross hairs. A recent poll shows a majority of Amerikans, Republican and Democrat or “Independent,” want to use force on Iran right now. Iran is in the crosshairs and it’s Obama with his finger on the trigger and your average Joe Amerikan cheering him on.

These wars are not just wars of the ‘right wing,’ or ‘conservative, or ‘Republican’ wars. These aren’t Bush’s wars. They are Obama’s now. More accurately, they are Amerika’s wars. And, it will take more to stop these wars, and the next war and the one after that, than marching in the streets holding signs. This shit goes back to 1492, even earlier. The crusaders, KKKolumbus, Manifest Destiny, chattle slavery, the endless imperialist wars of the last century.

In 1492, KKKolumbus sailed the ocean blue.. then he landed and killed everyone who wasn’t European. Exterminated the Taino peoples. That’s the real story.

Yesterday, it was the US genocide of South East Asia, the propping-up and financing of death squad states in Latin America, the rape and enslavement of Africa. Today it’s killing Pakistanis with unmanned drones. What will it be tomorrow?

The problem is bigger than Democrats and Republicans. Bigger than Bush and Obama. The problem is Amerika, and Amerikans. We can’t let Amerikans, and the Amerikan working class off the hook. Even the poorest Amerikan benefits from imperialism.

Yet Amerikans have the hypocrisy to point their fingers at the Third World. They call the Iranian president a “holocaust denier.” Yet Amerikans are the biggest holocaust deniers on the planet. It was the US that largely exterminated the whole continent of North America, from sea to shining sea — the largest genocide in history, thousands of civilizations gone forever – tens of millions killed by Uncle Sam.

In Zimbabwe, a recent report condemned Mugabe because he ‘only’ paid three percent in compensation to the imperialists during his land reform program. Let me get this straight. The imperialist come to Africa, they steal the land from the Africans, they disrupt the African traditional way of life, the imperialists impose white supremacist terrorist states on Africans, then when those Africans take their land back, the imperialists call it ‘theft’ and impose sanctions to strangle Zimbabwe, to punish the Africans, to make them OBEY. When Mugabe turned the tables and gave land to the poor Africans, he is a ‘thief,’ yet the imperialists think nothing about stealing whole countries as was the case in Zimbabwe or whole continents as was the case in the Americas. The only compensation the Africans received was the whites imposing a terroristic white supremacist state to keep them in bondage. The only compensations the Indigenous received in North America was to be killed or herded into reservations on the worst land, to have their children stolen and culture stripped away.

Remember the pigs earlier today who dared us to cross their invisible line on the ground? The pigs told us that we could not stand on parts of the sidewalk in front of the building? Who the fuck are they to say anything about where we can and can’t go on this land? This is Mexican and Indigenous land. It’s Uncle Sam who squats here on borrowed time. This land will be returned to its rightful owners. These crackers will get a taste of socialism – the power of the Third World over the First World. RAIM opposes the war. More than that, RAIM opposes Amerika and Amerikans.

The vast majority of humanity in the Third World barely survives on about $2.50 a day. Yet, Amerikans and the First World as a whole plop themselves down in front of their stupid boxes, one hand glued to a remote controller, the other in a bag of Cheetos. Amerikans waste their lives away on the back of others. RAIM is out to settle the score. RAIM is going to turn the tables.”

Spójrzymy na koszt życia w Ghanie. Tutaj jest lista cen (z ostatniego miesiąca lub dwóch) w cedisach ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/economy/market.prices.php. Niektóre z tych cen są trudne do pojęcia, ponieważ towary są mierzone w takich jednostkach jak “torba” albo “duży koszyk”, a wielu cen brakuje. Niektóre z tych towarów są dostępne tylko w warunkach ghańskich i o niektórych nigdy nie słyszałem. Jednak nadal są to użyteczne dane. Do przeliczenia na dolary użyłem bierzącego przelicznika wynoszącego 0,11$ za 1000 cedisów.

Na początku warto podkreślić, że minimalna płaca wynosi 13 500 cedisów na dzień. W dolarach jest to 1,48. Płaca za godzinę wynosi 0,19 dolara jeśli dzień pracy jest 8-godzinny. Porównujemy to do minimalnej płacy 5,15$ za godzine (w niektórych miastach i stanach wynosi więcej) jaka obowiązuje w USA.

Żywy kurczak kosztuje 60 000 cedisów (6,58$). W USA za surowego kurczaka zapłacimy mniej niż 5%, a kurczak z rożna także kosztuje znacznie mniej niż 6,58$. Zarabiający płacę minimalną robotnik mogłby kupić kurczaka w mniej niż godzinę. W Ghanie musiałby pracować na niego 4,5 dnia.

Za 1-litrowa butelke piwa trzeba zapłacić 8000 cedisów (0,88$). Za podobny produkt w stanach należałoby wyłożyć trzy razy więcej pieniędzy. Ale tutaj porównujemy pół godziny pracy amerykańskiego robotnika do 5 godzin pracy.

Wspomniałeś o chlebie. Ostatnia cena podana na tej stronie waha się między 6000 a 10 000 cedisów w 2003, kiedy kurs wymiany wynosił 8500 cedisów za amerykańskiego dolara. Załóżmy, że bohenek chleba kosztuje m/w tyle samo w dzisiejszych dniach, czyli 1$ (9100 cedisów według aktualnego kursu) W USA. W USA jest za chleb lepszej jakości zapłacimy dwa razy więcej. Wynika z tego, że na godzinę amerykański robotnik zarabia 2,6 bochenka chleba, a w Ghanie około 2/3 bochenka na dzień.

Z podanego artykułu dowiadujemy się, że skromny lunch w “Chop Bar” kosztuje 30 000 cedisów (3,30$), co stanowi więcej niż podwojona dzienna płaca minimalna. To wyraźnie pokazuje, że nikogo nie może być stać na wynajęcie pokoju (nie mieszkania, pokoju) i jedzenie przy tej płacy. Autor artykułu wzywa do podniesienia płący minimalnej do 25 000 cedisów na dzień, co nadal będzie niewystarczające na przyzwoity lunch w “Chop Barze”. W USA robotnik może sobie pozwolić na niezwykle przyjemny obiad w eleganckiej restauracji za swój dzienny przychód wynoszący 41,20$.

Artykuł odnosi się do cen benzyny i minimalnych płac w Ghanie i USA: http://www.ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/features/artikel.php?ID=79434. Galon benzyny kosztuje 30 000 cedisów (3,36$). W USA 2,25$ (20 250 cedisów), ale zmienie tą cenę na 2,70$ ponieważ Ghana używa imperialnych galonów, które są około 20% większe niż galony amerykańskie. W USA robotnik może kupić taki galon po pracy półgodzinnej. W Ghanie robotnik musiałby na niego pracować 2 dni.

Pod tym linkiem mamy chrześcijańską publikację z Zachodu, która omawia życiowe warunki i koszt życia w Ghanie: http://gnmagazine.org/issues/gn36/livemonth.htm. Napisano tam, że miesięczny czynsz to 7 dolarów. Brzmi tanio? Za tą cenę można wynająć jeden pokój w zrujnowanym budynku. Kuchnia i łazienka są wspólne. Często nawet ten jeden pokój jest z kimś dzielony. Taki dom trudno by znaleźć w USA (i założę się, że stan takiego budynku jak w Ghanie, w Stanach kwalifikowałby go do wyburzenia), ale porównajmy koszty mieszkania za pomocą płac procentowych. Robotnik w Ghanie zarabiający minimalną płacę wydawałby na pokój 30% miesięcznych zarobków. W USA robotnik wydając 30% zarobków na czynsz, traciłby 265$, co jest ceną wystarczającą, żeby wynając skromny apartament wraz ze współlokatorami.

W Ghanie opłacanie czesnego (nawet dla szkół publicznych) zabiera 6$ za jedno dziecko czyli ok 25% miesięcznych dochodów. W USA w publicznych szkołach nie płaci się czesnego.

Mógłbym kontynuować. Jednak spędziłem nad tym już za dużo czasu. Ale czy nie widzisz, że koszt życia w Ghanie nie jest mniejszy niż w USA? Czsa potrzebny do pozwolenia sobie na dane przedmioty jest dłuższy. I mówiliśmy powyżej tylko o podstawowych przedmiotach, które są z łatwością dostępne dla Amerykanów. Ta strona wspomina o klimatyzatorze Samsunga, którego cena wynosi 10 000 000 cedisów (1100$). Nie wiem o jakim modelu klimatyzatora jest mowa, ale przypuszczalnie jest to mała jednostka, której cena w USA wynosi około 200$. Cena w Ghanie jest większa niż cena amerykańska. W żadnym wypadku koreański wytwórca nie sprzedaje tych klimatyzatorów w Ghanie po mniejszej cenie niż tutaj podana.

Ethiopians face starvation, First Worlders waste food

Ethiopia is on the verge of a crisis. 6.2 million Ethiopians face starvation unless something is done. Already 80,000 children under 5 years of age are suffering from acute malnutrition, according to reports. This latest famine threat happens a quarter century since 1 million died in the 1984 famine that caught the media’s attention worldwide.  The 1984 famine was a partial result of imperialist policies that forced the growing of cash crops instead of food crops. Even during the famine, Ethiopia continued to export both cash crops and its own food crops to the First World. Its own farmers cannot make a living because processed First World food imports flood the home market.

“Since… January, the country continues to face several humanitarian challenges in food and livelihood security, health, nutrition, and in water and sanitation,” State Minister for Agriculture Mitiku Kassa stated.

Ethiopia needs 121 million before year’s end to head off the famine. Ethiopia is not alone. Famine, starvation, and widespread malnutrition are very real threats for peoples of the Third World. According to the World Health Organization, starvation is the greatest single threat to the public health. Starvation is the biggest factor contributing to child mortality, being present in half of all cases. Starvation currently affects more than a billion people, 1 out of every 6 people. Starving people reside almost exclusively in the Third World. This is the case even though the world produces enough food to feed its entire 6 billion population. In fact, enough food is produced to feed twice as many people.

Yet famine and widespread starvation no longer exist for First World peoples. In fact, First World peoples have too much food. According to a 2004 USDA-funded study, Amerikan families throw away 14% of their food. This accounts for 43 billion dollars worth of discarded food by Amerikan households alone.  Fast food chains can waste as much as 40% of their food. Supermarkets waste about 1%. And, a shocking 40% to 50% of all food ready for harvest in the US never gets eaten. (3) Commodity markets drive growers in the US to plow under their crops. Amerikans are wasting at least 75 billion dollars in food a year. Amerikans waste several times more food than is needed to stop the crisis in Ethiopia. In addition, the US spends about 1 billion dollars just disposing of its food waste.

There is no reason for anyone on the planet to starve. Enough food is produced so that everyone can eat. The problem is distribution and power. Capitalism-imperialism is a system that distributes too much food to the wealthy countries and too little food to the exploited countries. This is the part of the irrationality, or “anarchy” as Marx put it, at the heart of capitalism. Distribution does not match up with needs. Instead, profits are place ahead of people. The First World eats the Third World.

Gelukkig nieuwjaar,‭ ‬2008‭!

Wij hebben de afgelopen maand December vele kameraden geëerd.‭ ‬Er is geen betere manier om hen te eren dan om de revolutionaire zaak te bevorderen.‭ ‬De ideologisch revolutionaire voorhoede heeft nu reeds enige tijd geopereerd binnen het raamwerk van een nieuwe fase van het Marxisme.‭ ‬In de loop van het komende jaar zullen wij dit basisidee in verder detail uitwerken.‭

Het benoemen van deze nieuwe fase is nodig geworden door de proliferatie van namaak-Maoïstische organisaties.‭

De eerste wereld wordt geteisterd door organisaties die‭ ‬Trotskistische permanente revolutie propageren onder de banier van het Maoïsme.‭ ‬De eerste wereld wordt geteisterd door organisaties die‭ ‬blank nationalisme en‭ ‬sociaal fascisme propageren onder de banier van het Maoïsme.‭ ‬De eerste wereld wordt geteisterd door‭ ‬organisaties die opgeblazen‭ ‬modieuze praatjes substitueren voor wetenschappelijke analyse.‭ ‬Deze organisaties splitsen en maken daarmee de weg vrij voor echte revolutionairen om door te stoten,‭ ‬om ideologisch tot de aanval over te gaan met onze eigen doorbraken.‭ ‬Dit betekent niet dat wij onze tijd verspillen aan de vervalsers‭; ‬er is geen wederkerige strijd tussen ons en de eerste wereld-vervalsers.

‭ ‬Er is voor zover wij kunnen nagaan geen significante theoretische vooruitgang geboekt binnen de revolutionaire bewegingen van de derde wereld sinds de Chinese Culturele Revolutie.‭ ‬Sterker nog,‭ ‬er heeft achteruitgang plaatsgevonden.‭ ‬Bijvoorbeeld het debat over‭ “‬Marxisme-Leninisme-Maoïsme‭” ‬versus‭ “‬Marxisme-Leninisme-Mao Zedong denken‭” ‬in de jaren‭ ‬1980‭ ‬en‭ ‬1990‭ ‬was bedrog,‭ ‬in stand gehouden door zelfvoldane en op eigen voordeel uit zijnde RIM-partijen en anderen.‭ ‬De inhoud van Maoïsme als een universele nieuwe fase was al op systematische wijze gearticuleerd door Maoïsten,‭ ‬in het bijzonder‭ ‬Lin Biao,‭ ‬op het hoogtepunt van de Culturele Revolutie.‭ ‬Dit idee van de nieuwe fase werd fameus uitgedrukt voor en tijdens het Negende Congresrapport in‭ ‬1969,‭ ‬maar later van zijn belang ontdaan bij het Tiende Congresrapport in‭ ‬1973.‭ ‬Dit is glashelder voor wie een blik werpt op de Chinese literatuur van die periode.‭ ‬Ironisch genoeg werd dit feit ook opgemerkt door veel uitgesproken revisionisten die vaak deze verschillende debatten afdeden als‭ “‬Lin Biaoïstisch‭”‬.‭ ‬Wat nog erger is is dat deze schijnvertoning van valse vooruitgang door zovelen is voortgezet,‭ ‬zelfs in de derde wereld.‭ ‬Dit bewust vergeten van de geschiedenis is een teken van de povere staat van de bewegingen.

‭ ‬In Noord Amerika waren de gidsen in de duistere wildernis over de afgelopen twee decennia de nu gedegenereerde Maoïstische Internationale Beweging‭ (‬MIM‭)‬,‭ ‬geformeerd in‭ ‬1984,‭ ‬en de nu niet langer functionerende Rebellie is Rechtvaardig Cel‭ (‬IRTR‭)‬,‭ ‬opgericht in‭ ‬2005.‭ ‬Hoewel MIM werkelijke wetenschappelijke vooruitgang boekte op het gebied van klasse-analyse,‭ ‬gooide het steeds de eigen glazen in.‭ ‬Dit was met name omdat MIM verdronk in dogma,‭ ‬hetgeen haar geloofwaardigheid over de hele linie ondermijnde.‭ ‬Dit dogmatisme was vaak het gevolg van een defensieve en overreagerende houding jegens de valse Maoïsten.‭ ‬In plaats van een offensief te beginnen voor wetenschap over de hele linie,‭ ‬in plaats van de hemel te bestormen,‭ ‬bleef MIM hangen in een over-defensieve modus waarin het zichzelf probeerde te vestigen als orthodox jegens de vervalsers.‭ ‬Afgezien van het domein van de globale klasse-analyse,‭ ‬waar MIM vele rake klappen uitdeelde,‭ ‬pikte MIM ironisch genoeg op het ene terrein waar ze wel tot de aanval over waren gegaan de‭ ‬steen van gender op,‭ ‬om hier vervolgens slechts de eigen glazen mee in te gooien.‭ ‬Zij ondermijnden hun eigen werkelijke verbeteringen op het gebied van klasse-analyse door hun verwarde Trotskistische gender-oriëntatie.‭ ‬MIM saboteerde zichzelf in hun aanpak,‭ ‬leiderschap,‭ ‬en stijl van werken‭; ‬MIM zag nooit een glas water zonder een storm erin.‭ ‬In ruwweg het afgelopen jaar‭  ‬is MIM gedegenereerd tot een bizarre sloopkogelorganisatie wiens voornaamste activiteit bestaat uit het discrediteren van Maoïsme en het saboteren van revolutionair werk.‭ ‬Ondanks de wilde aanvallen van MIM wist IRTR,‭ ‬een van onze voorgangers als groep,‭ ‬een bescheiden bijdrage te leveren aan vooruitgangen op het gebied van globale klasse-analyse,‭ ‬de vorm van de dictatuur van het proletariaat,‭ ‬cultureel werk en geschiedenis.‭ ‬IRTR bereikte echter de grenzen aan wat zij kon bereiken omdat zij teveel behept was met de idiosyncrasieën van MIM.‭ ‬IRTR functioneerde als brug.‭

Zijn er een,‭ ‬twee,‭ ‬drie,‭ ‬veel Maoïsmen‭?

Revolutionairen hebben gestreden om de benamingen‭ “‬Maoïsme‭” ‬en‭ “‬Mao Zedong denken‭” ‬in de een of andere vorm sinds minstens de Culturele Revolutie.‭ ‬Dit is niet een strijd die wij gaan winnen.‭  ‬Om onze werkelijke progressie te verduidelijken en om door de Gordiaanse knoop van de strijdende‭ “‬Maoïsmen‭” ‬heen te hakken onderscheiden wij een nieuwe fase van revolutionaire wetenschap.‭ ‬Traditioneel worden nieuwe fasen onderscheiden door een achtervoegsel toe te voegen die verwijst naar de voornaamste theoreticus.‭ ‬Zo werd‭ “‬Maoïsme‭” ‬toegevoegd aan‭ “‬Marxisme-Leninisme‭” ‬om‭ “‬Marxisme-Leninisme-Maoïsme‭” ‬te vormen.‭ ‬Wij breken nu met deze traditie omdat het onpraktisch is,‭ ‬eindeloos achtervoegsels toe te voegen voor iedere nieuwe draai totdat we het communisme bereiken.‭ ‬Wij gaan ook niet de frase‭ “‬Lin Biaoïsme‭” ‬gebruiken omdat Lin Biao’s bijdragen op zichzelf niet substantieel genoeg zijn.‭ ‬Lin Biao’s‭ ‬Lang Leve de Overwinning van de Volksoorlog‭!‬ wees slechts de weg.‭ ‬Bovendien is Lin Biao’s biografie nog steeds een terrein van strijd onder revolutionairen,‭ ‬waardoor‭ “‬Lin Biaoïsme‭” ‬onnodig tweedracht doet zaaien.‭ ‬Wij gaan ook niet‭ “‬MIMisme‭” ‬gebruiken omdat de ideeën die de nieuwe fase uitmaken niet van MIM alleen zijn.‭ ‬Deze ideeën hebben in verschillende vormen al bestaan vóór MIM.‭ ‬Daar komt nog bij dat MIM’s fouten en degeneratie een dergelijke term een enorm obstakel zouden maken.‭ ‬In plaats daarvan gaan we voorlopig naar deze nieuwe fase verwijzen als‭ “‬Maoïsme-Derde Wereldisme‭”‬.‭ ‬Variaties op deze term zijn al decennia gebruikt door revolutionairen en hun critici.‭ ‬Dit label wordt niet bedoeld om op enige wijze af te leiden van de correcte bijdragen van Marx en Lenin.‭ ‬Sterker nog,‭ ‬de vervalsers hebben Marx‭’ ‬economische werk voor dood achtergelaten,‭ ‬terwijl onze beweging‭ ‬Het Kapitaal heeft opgeëist als een belangrijke levende tekst.‭ ‬Er mag hier geen vergissing over bestaan.

Maoïsme-Derde Wereldisme is het enige echte Maoïsme van nu.‭ ‬Wij geven toe dat Mao niet een Maoïst-Derde Wereldist was.‭ ‬Maar Lin Biao was dit misschien wel.‭ ‬En hoewel Maoïsten in China,‭ ‬inclusief Mao,‭ ‬vergissingen hebben begaan beschouwen we hen toch als‭ “‬Maoïsten‭”‬.‭ ‬Wij vergeven het hen omdat de globale klasse-analyse nog niet vergevorderd was in hun tijd.‭ ‬De wetenschap is voortgeschreden sinds Mao’s tijd.‭ ‬Vandaag de dag hebben zij die geloven dat de eerste wereld-‭”‬arbeiders‭” ‬bondgenoten zijn van de derde wereld-arbeiders evenzeer ongelijk als zij die denken dat de eerste wereld-bourgeoisie bondgenoten zijn.‭ ‬Het onvermogen van populaire strijd om vrienden van vijanden te onderscheiden leidt altijd op de lange duur tot falen.‭ ‬Dit is het meest recent nog duidelijk geworden door die partijen die RIM steunden en diens pro-imperialistische leiding.

Wij zullen de termen‭ “‬valse Maoïsten‭” ‬of‭ “‬fans van Mao‭” ‬gebruiken om te verwijzen naar hen die beweren Maoïsme te steunen maar toch Maoïsme-Derde Wereldisme verwerpen.‭ ‬De eerste formulering moet worden benadrukt wanneer we diegenen omschrijven die zich bevinden buiten het verenigd front tegen imperialisme.‭ ‬De laatste formulering wordt dan benadrukt voor hen die zich binnen het verenigd front tegen imperialisme bevinden.‭ ‬Wij zullen altijd duidelijk maken dat zij die beweren Maoïsme te steunen en toch Maoïsme-Derde Wereldisme verwerpen de nieuwe moderne revisionisten zijn.‭ ‬Wij zullen altijd duidelijk maken dat Maoïsme-Derde Wereldisme de nieuwe revolutionaire wetenschap van vandaag is.

Welke doorbraken vormen de kern van Maoïsme-Derde Wereldisme‭?

1.‭ ‬Wie zijn onze vrienden en wie zijn onze vijanden‭? ‬De kern van de revolutionaire wetenschap van vandaag is de erkenning dat de‭ ‬eerste wereld,‭ ‬het metaforische Westen,‭ ‬geen significante sociale groepen bevat die op enige consistente of betrouwbare wijze zich kunnen verbinden met de derde wereld,‭ ‬het metaforische Oosten.‭ ‬Er is geen Westers proletariaat.‭ ‬Er zijn geen significante geëxploiteerde sociale groepen in de eerste wereld.‭ ‬Er zijn haarden van geëxploiteerde migranten-‭ ‬en gevangenenpopulaties.‭ ‬Op dit moment zijn deze haarden grotendeels in een staat van voortdurende verandering en zijn ze te klein om de basis te vormen voor een revolutionaire omwenteling in de eerste wereld.‭ ‬Bovendien geldt dat hoewel populaties van gevangen naties in de eerste wereld nationaal onderdrukt zijn,‭ ‬zij niettemin materiëel voordeel hebben door hun nabijheid bij het hart van het kapitalistisch-imperialistische systeem.‭ ‬Zij worden niet in algemene zin geëxploiteerd en zijn niet een constante en betrouwbare basis voor revolutie.‭ ‬Er is geen significant‭ “‬substituut-proletariaat‭” ‬dat het alleen aan kan in de eerste wereld.‭ ‬Dit is bewezen door globale klasse-analyse.

‭ ‬2.‭  ‬De kern van de revolutionaire wetenschap van vandaag is het begrip dat de voornaamste contradictie in de wereld die is tussen het Westen en het Oosten,‭ ‬de eerste wereld en de derde,‭ ‬de globale steden en het globale platteland,‭ ‬imperialisme en de geëxploiteerde naties.‭ ‬De voornaamste vijand van de volkeren van de wereld is imperialisme,‭ ‬met name het imperialisme van de Verenigde Staten.‭ ‬De revolutionaire wetenschap steunt het‭ ‬brede verenigde front tegen imperialisme.

‭ ‬3.‭  ‬De kern van de revolutionaire wetenschap van vandaag is het model van de‭ ‬globale volksoorlog,‭ ‬geassociëerd met Lin Biao.‭ ‬De landen van de eerste wereld vormen de globale steden.‭ ‬De wereldrevolutie kan worden uitgebeeld als een vloedgolf van volksoorlogen die,‭ ‬golf na golf,‭ ‬vanuit het globale platteland opkomen om de globale steden te omringen en te verpletteren.‭ ‬De zon van de wereldrevolutie draait van Oost naar West.‭

4.‭  ‬De kern van de revolutionaire wetenschap van vandaag is het opleggen van een gezamenlijke dictatuur van de geëxploiteerde naties en hun bondgenoten aan de de exploiterende bevolkingen.‭ ‬Dit vereist een afrekening met de eerste wereld als geheel.‭ ‬Dit vereist het‭ ‬opheffen van de Verenigde Staten en Canada‭ ‬(de witte natie‭) ‬als souvereine entiteiten.‭ ‬Dit vereist steun voor nationale bevrijding en zelfbeschikking voor onderdrukte‭ (‬maar vaak niet geëxploiteerde‭) ‬naties die momenteel gevangen worden gehouden binnen de grenzen van de eerste wereld,‭ ‬in het bijzonder binnen de grenzen van de Verenigde Staten en Canada.‭ ‬Dit vereist teruggave van het land.

‭ ‬5.‭  ‬De kern van de revolutionaire wetenschap van vandaag is het opnieuw bevestigen dat een nieuwe bourgeoisie ontstaat in het hart van de socialistische maatschappij.‭ ‬Deze nieuwe bourgeoisie ontstaat onder de dictatuur van het proletariaat door overblijvende ideologische problemen,‭ ‬structurele kwesties en ongelijkheden.‭ ‬Deze problemen hebben geleid tot contrarevoluties in de Sovjetunie in de jaren‭ ‬1950‭ ‬en China in de jaren‭ ‬1970.‭ ‬Culturele revoluties zijn noodzakelijk om de voorwaartse beweging onder de dictatuur van het proletariaat voort te zetten en zo contrarevolutie te voorkomen.‭ ‬De oorzaken voor contrarevolutionnaire restauratie zijn niet slechts intern,‭ ‬maar ook extern omdat de nieuwe bourgeoisie een voornamelijk‭ ‬comprador-karakter kan hebben.‭ ‬De‭ ‬Culturele Revolutie in China was de verste stap in de richting van communisme in de menselijke geschiedenis.

‭ ‬6.‭  ‬De kern van de revolutionaire wetenschap van vandaag is het verwerpen van zowel de‭ ‬Theorie van de Productieve Krachten als ook het ermee geassociëerde idee dat socialisme slechts een uitbreiding en democratisering is van bourgeois privilege.‭ ‬Het is noodzakelijk om de volle implicaties van de Theorie te verwerpen,‭ ‬en dus is het noodzakelijk om het idee te verwerpen dat de‭ ‬bourgeois levensstandaard‭ ‬van de eerste werelders als geheel het resultaat is van enige andere oorzaak dan super-exploitatie van de derde wereld.‭ ‬Het niet begrijpen van dit punt staat neo-bourgeois en eerste wereld-arbeidsaristocratische ideologieën toe om het socialisme te ondermijnen.

7.‭  ‬De kern van de revolutionaire wetenschap is het opnieuw bevestigen van de doctrine van de dictatuur van het proletariaat.‭ ‬Op ieder aspect van de maatschappij drukt macht haar stempel.‭ ‬Klasseneutraliteit bestaat niet.‭ ‬Er zijn geen klasse-neutrale instituties noch klasse-neutrale culturele domeinen die als pad kunnen dienen voor het proletariaat om de macht te grijpen.‭ ‬Een maatschappij,‭ ‬inclusief de staat,‭ ‬is ofwel voornamelijk proletarisch ofwel voornamelijk niet-proletarisch.‭ ‬Dit sluit het idee uit dat het proletariaat binnen het traditionele democratische stelsel kan strijden om de macht.‭ ‬De oude wereld moet worden vernietigd met algehele duale culturele en institutionele macht.

‭ ‬8.‭  ‬De kern van de revolutionaire wetenschap herbevestigt dat de volksoorlog,‭ ‬breed beschouwd,‭ ‬moet worden doorgezet tot het einde.‭ ‬Zonder volksoorlog kan het proletariaat de macht niet verwerven.‭ ‬Zonder een volksleger heeft het volk niets.

De houding van een persoon jegens deze punten is de proef of men een revisionist is of niet.‭ ‬Wij weten niet waar iedere partij die beweert Maoïstisch te zijn staat op deze punten.‭ ‬Wij hopen dat de fans van Mao en de twijfelaars in de derde wereld zich over laten halen tot werkelijke revolutionaire wetenschap.‭ ‬Als je je aansluit bij het wetenschappelijke pad,‭ ‬verwelkomen wij je als kameraden.‭ ‬Als je dat niet doet,‭ ‬het zij zo.‭ ‬De zon wacht niet.‭

Rood saluut aan ieder die de weg gebaand heeft‭! ‬Moge de Derde Wereld overwinnen‭! ‬Moge het proletariaat overwinnen‭! ‬Dood aan het Westen‭! ‬Dood aan Amerika‭! ‬De zon stijgt op in het Oosten en gaat onder in het Westen.
